Newport公司已经发不了他们的首台用于紫外波段光纤激光器，他们希望该激光器能够取代用于材料微加工的现有光源。
该产品输出压皮秒紫外激光脉冲，其输出功率要比Newport现有具有竞争力的产品高出50%。该产品是由成立于2007年一月份，最初隶属于Spectra-Physics激光器部门的光纤激光器事业部开发的首个产品。
Newport的Spectra-Physics激光部门市场和产品经理Michael Kauf高速optics.org：“该激光器输出亚50皮秒355nm波长的激光脉冲，在80MHz重复频率下提供12W的输出功率。这是公司首款光纤激光器产品，今后的数个月中，我们将扩展这一产品线。”

偏振消光比测试仪可以快速测量光纤输出光的消光比,配合偏振光源,可旋转的偏振器,可以测试光在光纤中传输的消光比,传输光轴的角度等指标.是保偏光纤系统中非常使用的测试工具. 偏振消光比测试仪可以通过配置中性密度滤波片测试高功率工作的光纤器件,例如高达2W.加入和去除中性密度滤波片衰减器操作简单,方便. 偏振消光比测试仪有两种工作模式: 实时工作模式,记录工作模式.实时工作模式能够直接给出消光比和对准的测试结果.记录工作模式则会在设定的时间间隔内给出最差的消光比测试结果,以确保测试结果的准确性,这种模式对器件的质量控制,和保偏光纤对准控制非常有效. 偏振消光比测试仪也可以提供针对输入光功率相对功率测量结果,以dB显示,每秒钟相对功率读数可以更新650次,通过计算机控制,消光比测试仪从偏振以及相对功率两方面保证光纤和入射光源之间偏振态和光轴的对准.
