PPLN for Sum Frequency Generation

Sum Frequency Generation can be used to generate wavelengths in the visible range by pumping a suitable PPLN crystals with two longer wavelengths. Stratophase’s standard SFG crystals are designed to be pumped with a fixed wavlength laser and a tuneable laser, allowing the output wavelength to be tuned as a direct function of the tuneable input wavelength, using the suitable grating in the PPLN crystal and the correct temperature.
