Our popular RSP-series rotation mounts, offered in three distinct models for Ø1/2", Ø1" and Ø2" optics, provide smooth, backlash-free rotation in a compact, lockable mount. Each stage provides a bottom-located #8-32 (M4) tapped hole for mounting, providing direct compatibility with our popular Ø1/2" Posts.

The easy-to-read radial scale offers 2º graduation marks, labeled every 20º, for precise incremental movements and repeatable positioning.

Optics can be mounted in the center tapped hole, machined for compatibility with our popular SM-series lens tubes and accessories, and held in place with a retaining ring (one included with each mount).

For extremely demanding applications, Thorlabs offers high resolution, micrometer driven rotation mounts providing ~2.4 arcmin. per micrometer division

The center aperture, threaded with our standard SM2 thread, accepts Ø2" (50.8mm) diameter optics secured in place with an SM2RR threaded retaining ring (one included with RSP2). The knurled edge of the RSP2 and 360° laser engraved scale marked at 2° increments allows for precise, repeatable positioning and fine angular adjustment. A convenient top-located set screw secures the rotational position of the stage.
