INTUN Series Tunable Lasers

The INTUN Series Tunable Lasers are designed for demanding applications such as Spectroscopy and Interferometry. The INTUN Family has sixteen models spanning the wavelength ranges of 770nm to 1650nm, this family covers the widest spectral range of any of our tunable products. These tunable lasers (TLS) have an external cavity design (ECL) to enable a wide mode-hop free tuning range. All INTUN lasers are compatible with Thorlabs' standard SM1 and 30mm Cage Systems to enable easy fiber coupling and integration into an optical set-up. All lasers in the INTUN Family have reduced spontaneous emission to further improve the laser performance. Selected models of the -T and -B series are available with fiber optic output. These models have a built-in isolator to reduce the sensitivity to external reflections and are available in both PM and SM versions with FC/APC output. The cage system compatibility enables easy fiber coupling on all models. The INTUN-T model is optimized for swept source applications, whereas the INTUN-B model is optimized for step and measurement applications. Both models are truly continuously tunable and have mode-hop free operation. The main difference is that the INTUN-B models have an digital RS232 interface while the -T models have an analog control interface. All INTUN lasers have means to lock to an external reference if ultra high stability is needed. Also, all models have an analog wavelength control input that can be used to modulate and fine tune the wavelength. INTUN TL780-B/ -T offers high output power at 780nm and can be used for Rb (Rubidium) experiments. |
